Google targets cross-site scripting by doubling bug bounties

XSS is becoming increasingly common, up more than 160% in the fourth quarter of 2012 from the previous three months, according to FireHost research. In a move geared to keep up with the ever-changing online threat landscape, Google has increased its reward levels for researchers that uncover flaws. In particular, Google has its sights set on cross-site scripting.
