Armor Bolsters Leadership Team, Adds Sales Veterans

New hires highlight company’s growth plans and focus on expanding global channels

RICHARDSON, Texas – September 17, 2015 – To accelerate execution of an ambitious growth agenda, Armor has announced two key leadership additions that will drive the company’s active cyber defense vision and bolster its global channel footprint.

At the foundation of this growth is Mark Kornegay, who will serve as the company’s new senior vice president of worldwide channel and field sales. Kornegay is a longtime Microsoft General Manager and sales visionary who led a 100-person organization, responsible for more than $400 million in revenue across the Western United States. Prior to Microsoft, he held leadership roles in several early-growth stage technology companies, served as an Assistant United States Attorney and began his public service as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Kornegay will apply his security, sales, services and partnership expertise to building channel relationships, enhancing alliances and further developing domestic and international sales opportunities at Armor.

Complementing the addition of Kornegay, Armor has also named Scott Thomas as vice president of North American sales. Thomas brings over 20 years of experience helping innovation-driven companies accelerate sales. Prior to joining Armor, Thomas led sales, channels, sales operations and the creation of scalable sales operating systems for high-growth companies including Terremark (now part of Verizon). He also served in leadership, sales, engineering and operations roles with technology companies Brainspace, CSC, Rackspace and AT&T. At Armor, Thomas will lead the North American sales teams as well as oversee sales operations globally.
