HITRUST-certified secure cloud infrastructure provider

The Health Information Trust Alliance (HITRUST) was born out of the belief that information security should be a core pillar of, rather than an obstacle to, the broad adoption of health information systems and strategies. HITRUST created a Common Security Framework (CSF) to give organizations the structure, detail and clarity needed to navigate and meet healthcare regulatory compliance standards, including HIPAA.

Achieving HITRUST certification required organizations to perform regular assessments, manage their remediation activities and report and track their healthcare compliance posture. This process could take between three and six weeks, after the organization assess that they’re ready to pursue their certification. While this process was effective in seeing organizations meet regulatory compliance rules, it was complex and resource exhaustive. HITRUST understood that a more secure, manageable process was required. To further streamline the CSF certification process, HITRUST created the MyCSF online tool.

Through the development of MyCSF, HITRUST began their search for a secure cloud solution for the application and met Armor cybersecurity. The primary requirement? Any partner chosen would have to successfully achieve HITRUST certification itself. This made Armor Complete for Healthcare one of the first infrastructure providers to achieve HITRUST and CSF certification.
