#005 War Hammer

This 15th century war hammer is most probably French in origin. The French term for this weapon was "martel de fer". The heavy spikes, designed to penetrate armor, made this a lethal weapon against the heavy armor of the time. It is often commented in the chronicles of the time as one of the more common choices by knights in the list.
