#022 Norman Conical Helm
Helms of this type were worn by both Saxon and Norman at the battle of Hastings in 1066, and undoubtedly by many continental and Norse warriors as well. This design seems to have been the "industry standard" of the late Viking period. Based on an 11th century Moravian helmet in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna (WSA41). Ours is 8.5" high, overall.
