Exhibitions and Productions Featuring Items from Arms & Armor
Season of the Witch opens January 7th and may have some knives we made for the production in the movie. Film work is always interesting as the knives were made back in 2008 and shipped off to Romania. That was the last we heard of them and one never knows if the items will get any screen time or not.
There were a variety of blades made to the stated needs of the film. They included our Wallace Ballock set to custom by-knives and small working knives. All were done with some wear and tear and a bit of an aged patina to create the look of items that had been in use for quite some time. This is a finish we like a lot as is it creates a sense of the item having a story.
As with any large production, things change and over the course of making the film. Any particular piece or element of the film may change drastically. So we will have to wait and see when the film arrives if any one can find our pieces in the film.
